Pride of Imperial Band – The award-winning competitive band with 117 band members under the direction of Mr. Christopher Scurries. Featured in the Calexico Chronicle in Nov. 2024, “One of the evening’s most unforgettable moments came with The Pride of Imperial Marching Band and its Beatles-themed medley entitled “All of the Lonely People.” Even before they launched into the first notes of “Eleanor Rigby,” the crowd erupted into cheers, stomping and clapping as the band took the field. The performance included mobile scenery and electric keyboards, with transitions between songs and scenes indicated by changes to the visuals.”
